FILENAME EXTRACTOR

The FileName Extractor checks your library for tracks with missing Title or Artists metadata, then attempts to extract the missing information from the file name (in the filePath).

Choose from a list of common separators to match the type used in your file names, then set the naming pattern of your tracks so MIXO can find the required text.

By default, MIXO will split the file names by hyphens (aka dash or -). In some cases less common hyphens might be used, so MIXO checks for alternative types of hyphen.

Also by default, the naming pattern is [artist] [title] [Not set], where the 3rd part is not used. If your file names also contain tracks numbers, such as "01 - Daft Punk - One More Time", simply change the pattern to [number] [artist] [title].

Once Check tracks is complete, MIXO will display the results allowing you to check and select tracks to update.
