ENGINE DJ OVERVIEW

Engine DJ is a specialized DJ platform that consists of two parts: Engine DJ Desktop (for library preparation) and Engine DJ OS. It is the primary platform for Denon DJ and Numark standalone devices.

Unlike other software that requires a laptop to perform, Engine DJ is designed to allow you to prep your music on a computer and then perform entirely "unplugged" using only your hardware and a USB drive or SD card.

Standalone Stems (Engine DJ 4.2+): Engine DJ is a pioneer in standalone stem separation. You can pre-render 4-part stems (Vocals, Melody, Bass, Drums) on the Desktop app, and then play them back with full control on supported hardware like the Denon DJ PRIME 4+ without a computer.

Engine Lighting: built-in integration with SoundSwitch, Nanoleaf, and Philips Hue. This allows your hardware to automatically sync a professional light show with your music—all controlled directly from the unit's touchscreen.

Vast Streaming & Cloud Integration: Engine OS devices can connect directly to Wi-Fi. You can log in and stream tracks from Apple Music, Amazon Music Unlimited, TIDAL, SoundCloud Go+, Beatport, and Beatsource.

Smart Playlists & Active Loops: the Desktop software allows you to create Smart Playlists based on rules (BPM, Key, Genre) and set "Active Loops" that automatically trigger when the playhead reaches a specific section.

Industry-Leading Library Import: Engine DJ Desktop features the most comprehensive import tool, allowing you to move your music, playlists, and performance data directly from MIXO, Rekordbox, Serato DJ, and Traktor into the Engine ecosystem.
