Track Artist & Label Not showing on Export to Rekordbox

Sheldon started this chat 4 months ago

Hello,

I converted in Mixo, the Grouping Field to the Label Field. All data displays correctly in Mixo. When I do the export to Rekordbox about 90 percent of the Label Fields are empty.

As well the Artist Field is correct in Mixo but a large majority of the Artist fields are empty upon export back to Rekordbox. If I re-scan the track the artist appears in the empty field.

I have tried the regular import and the xml import same issue both times.

Sorry about the multiple posts. I was trying to attach some screen shots but they would not upload

Hi there,

Please can you send me the Rekordbox XML that you exported from MIXO?

Is there another way I can send you a file other than the chat. The file is 66 MB and the chat keeps showing an error when trying to upload. Im using Safari with the chat.

Oh sorry about that. The limit should be 150MB.

Another way is to use cloud storage and send me a shared link.

I think something in your library must be breaking export. It's strange that the same thing happens for direct and XML though. I can't replicate the problem at all!

Ok I sent it via email but I can try a cloud storage link. It's about 26000 songs I removed the bad files before I did the export too. Only other think could be the Smart Crates/Playlists ?

Where did you import from, Serato?

If the data is displayed correct for all your tracks in MIXO under the Artist and Label columns, there should not be an issue with exports, so I'm intrigued to find the cause!

I imported it from Rekordbox, but moved all my music to one folder after import via Mixo.

Please reload this chat page and try the attachment again. Should be fixed now!

Here it is

Great, that worked. Thanks!

After importing I can see only 117 tracks without Artist. But there are around 18,000 tracks without Label. Is that right?

This is correct! If I run a update tags in recordbox the Artist field populates but not the Label field

So just to confirm, is what I'm seeing correct, or should there be artist and label data for every track?

S
There should be artist in every track label for most or all of the House Tracks
That's really the only Genre I use that field for

I'm seeing 6218 tracks with house genre. They all have Artist but only about half of them have Label. Seems like there was just an issue with label.

Try this:

1. Create a smart playlist with genre includes 'house'. You should get 6218 tracks.
2. Now export only this playlist to Rekordbox and see if it works.

By the way, you have about 16 cues for each track. 8 hot cues and 8 memory cues. This means there are over half a million of them in your database, which might be causing some issues, although MIXO should be able to handle this much data.

Just thought I'd let you know in case you didn't need them all. You could use the Cue Converter tool to remove unwanted cues.
