Hi I have a large playlist with 14000 tracks in to be able to shuffle my music iPod style when I fancy it but seems it freezes mixo when I try to play a track I guess it’s because it’s trying to put the whole playlist into the queue?

Is there a way to make this work or limitation?

I'm just testing that with a 20,000 track playlist and it's almost instant for me.

Please quit and restart MIXO, then try again.

I have tried couple of times it loads then get play button spinning after bout 15 mins it will play but then gets stuck to point even closing the app doesn’t stop the media playing I tried resetting the player queue that didn’t fix it either

I should add all tracks not a playlist loads instant but you can’t shuffle under all tracks

Are the tracks all local and found if you right-click and Show In Finder??

Ah! I’m talking about iOS app and none of them are local on my phone

Ahh ok. So you're probably streaming them, which can be slow.

Try Settings/Reset Tools -> Reset Player Queue.

Then restart the app.

Then try again.

Meanwhile, I'll try replicating.

Yes I am streaming them but track at a time works great and smaller playlist work fine maybe it’s limitation

Ok I'm seeing some freezing with large lists too. I'm now trying to find the cause...

Are there many tracks in that large playlist with black dots, indicating they are not uploaded from your computer?

I don’t believe there are any the whole library is uploaded and checking on desktop tools confirms this

On desktop, please add the column "Uploaded" and sort by uploaded status. There may be a few tracks that did not upload and will not have a green dot.

If there are a few, that would help my current theory! When I remove missing tracks from my playlist, it works smoothly.

I'll get a fix in the next release to exclude missing tracks from the queue.

In the meantime, I would do this:

1. Quit the mobile app.
2. On desktop, either remove any tracks that are not uploaded from the playlist, or select them, right-click and Upload Tracks.
3. Once sync is complete, start the mobile app and it should be good.

Ok so I have checked I have everything uploaded no tracks are not uploaded however I have seen fair number of tracks with no artwork no waveform that do have those things on desktop I tried deleting app and reinstalling on iOS to force resync still same issue

I don't think missing waveforms or artwork would cause that. In my tests it was only missing tracks causing the freeze.

I'll run some more tests.

Ok odd only reason I mentioned this is when I picked a track that had these things missing it took while to load on its own and and even though it was playing it would display another track in the now playing section

Little discovery so mostly seems to be tracks that are lengthy I have some mixtapes in there that are 30-60mins

So I did a test making smart playlist to exclude them this still didn’t fix it

But I did notice that the long mixes play but don’t show in player on iOS it shows your next or previous track I don’t know if this is because on length could be unrelated but thought would mention it too

It's no problem, it's definitely some sort of bug that has somehow gone unnoticed. Probably because 14k track playlists are quite unusual!

Anyway, I think I have a solution so I'm going to get this into the next build.
