Folder structure is failed during uploading to google drive

I noticed that when the automatic upload to Google Drive is finished, the folder structure on the cloud is different from one I have on the local storage. For example, I can have a hip-hop folder with 5 songs and 1 subfolder of oldschool with 10 songs on the computer and this structure on the cloud becomes 1 hip-hop folder with 5 songs and 1 separate oldschool folder with 10 songs (nesting was not replicated).

I assume that flattern folder pattern is applied during cloud upload. Is there any way to turn this feature off during cloud upload? If not I suggest to add a notification or info banner that will warn that folder structure won't be replicated (and update the FAQ section on website accordingly, because right not it's confusing).

I used desktop app on Macbook with M1 apple chip.
