New Music Library
I'm just about to create a brand new music library from scratch. Up until now, I've used a DJ Playout system with proprietary formatted files, so I can't just convert straight to my new system. This gives me a golden opportunity to get my library structure right from the start.
So I have 3 (hopefully quick) questions:
1. Is Mixo the best place to create the library, which will ultimately be uploaded to a Denon Engine based device, or should I use Engine to create a library and then use Mixo to maintain it?
2. What is the best way to structure my music files? At the moment, I have one large folder on a dedicated hard drive and every track is a file in that one folder. In the software I used to use, all the metadata was handled by the database, not stored in the music files. I now have a brand new hard drive plus a Dropbox Plus (2TB) account to play with.
3. Can Mixo do the initial analysis of tracks? I've played with it a little bit for the last 48 hours, and even with a very simple 4-on-the-floor track, the BPM seems perfect, but the beatgrid is way out and no key information is detected.
Ok - over to you folks - teach an old dog some new tricks please :)
