I can sync my Desktop files via cloud to my new Android device, but cant reach the files with other applications on the android, due to the sandbox principle in Android.
Whats the Trick to get the synced data used with DJPro under Android?
Is there a way to get the DJPro media lib also synced (even if its just working one way)

The trick for djay syncing to iPad etc is to import your tracks directly into djay first, then export from MIXO. This overcomes the sandboxing issue.



You might need to delete existing tracks first if you’ve already exported from MIXO.

I understand the approach, but that’s contradictory to what I expected from MIXO to work ;)

Under a desktop I use MIXO to exchange and translate where needed all the informations of the files stored in app x to match the file store of app y. In my case I have awfully structured and tagged library I export via m3u and import with MIXO and push to djpro or recordbox. That works fine, also across desktop machines.

But on the goInlike to use iPad or Android Tablet.

So I thought that MIXO would be able to sync my lib via cloud and playlists also on those devices.

Iam not aware of a function in djpro that syncs via cloud, or did I oversee something?

I have a m3u file based playlist with relative path information.

That’s synced in OneDrive including my music.

I thought that I was able to import that in MIXO on the iPad and export that to the djpro app on the iPad.

But as far as I see, MIXO on iPad or android is reduced more to its on player functionality and not import / Export. Correct?

Ah I see what you’re saying. You can’t export to djay pro from iOS or android devices, only on desktop. All of our export options are on desktop.

You already know the djpro database and how to import local files into it via m3u8 on the desktop.

You would solve a problem of ALL djpro users, if that would work under android or apple, because that’s the top one major roadblock for all djpro users.

Djpro is a nightmare of ignorance when it comes to none cloud playlist exchange.

If you do that trick, your Abo customers would probably explode, when you answer the open questions regarding this in the net.

Tidal & others are no solution for that.

I hear you! However, I think the database is different to desktop and overcoming the sandbox limitations are very difficult on mobile platforms.



But we’ll look into it anyway!

Hi, again.

I think in the android world, this will be easier to achieve, as you will not need any Apple DRM and Music Abo hazzle..., regarding its Music, Apple is realy realy difficult and even if you have exchanged the playlists in Apple Music, they will not allow full access to the Music, e.g. they will not allow the Neural Mix functions, due copyright violation and so on. I have tried all of that in the last 48 intense hours...

in the Android world, you just have to ask for the right to store your music into the original Music folder and transfer a playlist in M3U8 with directories made realtive and it will work directly like a charme. So the effort on your side for realizing this under Android is probably just a few hours for a first BETA ready to use.

On Apple iPad, it will become nearly impossible, to work with your own local files, even if stored in the iCloud, as there is now way to get a playlist with local files into the apple Music universe, since itunes was killed....



So I understand your resitance to work in that crippled music world of apple very well, but as I said, its easy in the Android world, you do not even need to touch the DJay Pro Database to exchange that when copying the files physically on the device (which I would always do for a gig).
