Colors on Mixo Cue do not match in Serato with controller

I've noticed that the cue point colors in Mixo don't match the colors used in Serato.

For example, if I set a cue point to red in Mixo and then export it to Serato, it appears as a different shade of red. Initially, this doesn't seem to matter, but when using a controller, the corresponding pad lights up in a much lighter shade of red.

However, if I select red in Serato, the pad on the controller lights up with the correct shade of red.

Is there any way to fix this? I understand that the color codes are different, but it would be great if they matched.

I used red as an example, but it happens with all colors, for example, default green color in Mixo also doesn't match the default green color in Serato.

Please install this beta and try Export -> Track Tags + disable the "Update changed tags only" option.

MIXO cue colours should now be a better match to Serato's.

Hi.

The problem persists. I exported the track with some cue points in red and others in green (Mixo's default colors).

However, in the exported file, red appears as pink and green as blue.

If I correct this in Serato, the colors are displayed correctly.

Hmm ok. Did you use export Track Tags and disable the "Update changed tags only" option to force the update? You may need to analyse your tracks in Serato to see the changes but not normally.

Yes, I used export tags and disable the "Update Changed Tags Only" Option to Force the Update.

Analyzing the tracks does nothing change.

I have also tried with a clean library.

I have tried another software, Lexicon, to rule out that the problem was mine, but with that software it does not happen to me, the colors coincide well.

It would be great that this could be solved, I prefer Mixo as a tool.

That's great to hear! I'll most certainly sort this out for you.

If possible, please could you create a new playlist and add that track, then export that playlist to Rekordbox XML and send me the XML?

This will really help me understand which colours are being used.

I see. I'd matched it to the last colour in the Serato cue colour palette, which look almost the same, but clearly not on the controller pad.

I've already tried it, and it's much better now.

Just one more detail: I've tried the red, yellow, and green (default Mixo).

Red and yellow now match Serato's colors, but the green still comes out blue.

Even so, much better.

There isn't a match for MIXO's default colour, so Serato chooses automatically. It's in between a green and a blue in Serato's cue colour palette:



I've updated the logic to use Serato's 9th colour (the 'Cue 3' colour above). That should make things clearer moving forward.
