I'm not sure how that's possible! When importing new tracks, if the track already has dateAdded (from RB/Engine imports etc) we save it, otherwise we save the current time/date. There are no problems with this logic so I'm a little confused about how this could have happened.

Here's a quick test after importing a track from Serato and exporting the XML to Rekordbox:



Could you provide a screenshot or perhaps your exported XML?

ive transferred everything from Serato to rekordbox so I can use usb's.

However my date added column is empty.

How do I fix this?

Right, I’m pretty new to this and never used rekordbox so I’m finding my way round it.



If I click on collection, the dates are shown as today in everything.



If I click on rekordbox.xml all my crates are there, info all good, but no date added.



Also, no cue pints etc added unless I load a track to play, then it finds them.

As far as I'm aware Serato does not save date added to the track's tags and since MIXO extracts all the metadata and cues from the track tags, date added will be set to the date you import.

Once you've parsed your XML you need to drag your tracks/playlists into your collection to load all the info.

Here's the recommended approach:

Step 1 - Export your XML from MIXO and load it in Rekordbox, following the guide.

Step 2 - Right-click your playlist in the XML section and choose "Import to Collection".

Step 3 - Select all the tracks in the playlist (also in the XML section) and right-click "Import to Collection".

This is the only way to load changes to existing tracks in Rekordbox.

Yep, all there now and in crates/playlists under collection.

Now the disappointing part.



When trying to export to a usb I am unable to load no more than 1000 tracks to each folder and it won’t allow me to transfer my high quality AIFF or MP4 files.



So what a waste of time that was.



No wonder serato is so good.

Oh wow is that a Device Library Plus limitation? That's crazy.

Yeah for sure. Engine allows it and denon kits pays more than 1000 per playlist/crate.



Pioneer can’t pioneer the tech to do it.

Ha! Very good.

I guess it's designed for exporting a set for each gig, rather than a full library.

However, I heard that if you remove the playlist from the USB, then re-analyse the files in Rekordbox, then export to USB again it might export the missing tracks.

After reanalysing, if any track info has changed you can simply drag the tracks/playlists over from the XML again to correct them all.

Let me know if that works!

Ok, I don't know what's gone on now.

But all was good in rekordbox and all my date added info matched with my Serato.

I did a heap of downloads this week and uploaded to mixo, then exported to rekordbox.

Now all my date added info is gone again. It all says 20/10/204 and so does mixo, which is kind of strange as I did it all on the 30/10/24.

Ive just covered to engine too and the date all says today also in everything.

How do I fix this?

After your initial enquiry we discovered a way to import dateAdded from Serato so it should match Serato now.

When did you do that? As I only exported to engine Wednesday and it is not there.

How do I fix it? Delete everything from engine and re export?

As in my Mixo it also all says the same date

MIXO v1.77 went live around 7pm UK time on 30th October.

So are you saying there is no dateAdded at all in Engine DJ?

I tested Export Engine and it all looks good - the dateAdded matched Serato, not today.

Ok cool. So just do a new import from Serato and it should all update? Then export?

Or delete everything from Mixo and do a fresh import then export?

You could try reimporting but I'm not sure if the dateAdded will get updated if the file hasn't changed so you might need to delete the tracks in MIXO first.

Ok, I can’t find a way to delete my whole Mixo library, only playlists.

I want to get rid and start again and see if it all works.

Settings/Debug -> Reset MIXO. This will delete everything locally and in the cloud.

Why do you mean locally? Everything I’ve downloaded?

As in your local MIXO library (track and playlists data) and any synced data, not your actual tracks!



It will just reset MIXO to a brand new state.

It hasn’t worked. All the dates on every track in Mixo still say the date the whole import was done.

Hmm. Ok please let me know the following:



1. Are you using MIXO v1.77 ?

2. Are the dates in Serato different?

3. Have you added the "DateAdded" column in MIXO (not "Added") ?

What a plumb. I didn’t update the software.

I will try tomorrow as I have a gig tonight and it takes like 12 hours to import my stuff to Mixo

So updated Mixo. Now can’t upload as it says to quit serato first every time no matter what I try.

Ok, done all that, my date added is now there, but 90% of my comments are now not.



So I downloaded over 100 tracks Thursday, sorted them in Serato, all good.



Uploaded to Mixo, transferred to engine and rekordbox, hardly any comments saved.

Not in Mixo either.

Ah ok sounds like MIXO can't read the comments field for some tracks.

Are you able to send me a track where the comments were not imported into MIXO?

the comments in engine says 'purchased at beatport' but in my Serato it says my own comment

Oh, strange. I've not seen comments stored there before!

Other than the regular comments tag, which contains the "Purchased At Beatport" comment, there was another unusual tag with various parts, including a text field with the data.

Anyway, I've added support this now, so in the next release you can "Reanalyse tracks" and select "Update Metadata" to import the correct comments for any tracks like that.

Hopefully this will be the same for all of your tracks, but if there are any others that look wrong after updating them in the next release, please let me know.

I'll let you know when the release is live, which should be this week.
