Global replace in playlists

Hi there,

Yes that's possible - if you right-click the missing track in MIXO then select Relocate Track and choose the file, it will fix the filePath. Playlist tracks only reference the track so they will also work.

I am migrating from Traktor to Serato. I have a track that appears in 5 different playlists in Traktor. I have moved the track to a new folder and I want to identify the new location and have it updated in all 5 playlists. Is this possible?

Thank you! I tried doing this for a track. It was showing up as missing in my Mixo library and I right-clicked, selected "Relocated Track" and navigated to the new file. When I look in Traktor, though, it still tries to load it from the old location. Is there another step I need to take before the file will appear correctly in Traktor?

Yes, you need to export to get the updated filePath in the NML, then import this into Traktor again.

Doesn't Traktor have a relocate function?

Yes, but I was thinking I would use Mixo do tell me which tracks are missing, relocated, and perform a de-duplication.

Do De-duplicated files remain in all the playlists where they appear?

Ok no problem, was just wondering. I haven't actually used Traktor's relocate feature for a long time!

As for the duplicate finder - any tracks that are removed from your library are also removed from playlists and replaced with the track that you keep, so everything should be the same.
