Rating not written to ID3 tags

One of the main reasons of using Mixo is writing the "rating" to the ID3 tags, but this doesn't work flawlesly.

Hi there,

In my tests everything seems fine, when inspecting a test mp3 after exporting rating changes.

I used https://kid3.kde.org/#download but you do have to quit each time to see the changes!

One way to check is to re-import the track in MIXO to update it. If the tags were saved you should see the changes.

You could also try editing the track Title for test purposes.

It could be an issue with ID3 versions - I tested one track which has ID3v2.3 and another which has v2.4 - both worked. Maybe you have an old MP3 file?

Hi Remko,

I checked it and created some brand new MP3's today.

After creating the file I

1. tag them using ID3tag (Artist-Title-Album-Year). The files have ID3v2.3

2. Afterwards I import them in Rekordbox in a new playlist, add some mytags and rate the song.

3. Then I import the new playlist in Mixo and the only thing I do in Mixo is

4. head towards Export > ID3 tags and do an update. For some files the rating is written to the file, for some not.

In the attached video I show you the steps I did in Mixo and as you can see, nothing happens with the file. Also the change I made in the Artist-field is not exported. (The video is made at 15:25 and the fileproperties still shows the old time [14:59])
