My set track colors are not exporting to my dj software, is there a setting I would need to change?

Which export are you using? I’ll check it out.

Both Virtual DJ and Serato

I added colours to a few tracks in MIXO and exported to VDJ and I could see the colours (after moving the XML to the correct location) - see attached.

In Serato I had to analyse the files and then the colours appeared but I noticed a couple of colours did not transfer over - see attached.

I'll try to find and fix any colours that are not matched and update you later.

In the meantime, could you let me know which colours were not matched for you based on the palette in MIXO?

I'm using green, red and purple I will have to search and see if the folder is correct, I'm using the only one I could find on my computer that has the XML file for virtual dj

Ok, VDJ looks all good but I'm now seeing issues when changing colours and exporting to Serato. Basically the first export is fine but the track colour doesn't get updated thereafter.

I think we need to update the colour in the Serato V4 database, which isn't supported yet but will be soon!

I can't get it to work right, going through the songs and changing comments to Clean or Explicit to replace the colors

In VDJ? Strange, seems to work fine for me, even updating. I went through every colour in MIXO's colour palette and each time I loaded up VDJ the colours were updated.

Yes in VDJ, I am putting the export files in the correct folder, when i update with downloaded music everything but colors are making it into VDJ

So you add track colours in MIXO using Track Info, then do Export → VirtualDJ and move the database.xml to the VirtualDJ folder on the same drive as your tracks. Is that right?

For me, it works every time. My tracks are local and the Virtual DJ folder is here: Users/[my-user]/Library/Application Support/VirtualDJ. On Windows it can be found here: Users[your-user]\AppData\Roaming\VirtualDJ

Hi there, here's the latest beta version with a direct export and import with Serato's new database.

Before exporting, MIXO automatically creates a backup of the Serato databases found in the Serato/Library folder, but it's always worth doing your own backup.
