MediaMonkey Support

Complete
Feature

Hi,

as MediaMonkey is database driven it would be nice to im-and export playlists and tracks there also. Also their table-format is not too hard to understand and handle. :-)

Would save me so much time as I handle 80000 tracks and I have plenty of playlists in there I could export to EngineDJ (just bought a new device) via Mixo.

Great idea, I've added this as an idea for future development.

Thanks!

Hi, any progress?

This is really low priority due to low vote count. However, I could add an import-only option, by importing playlists from the Playlist section pretty easily I think. Is that what you'd need?

That would be great for a start. :-) Export would be a big plus.

Reason: Befor Mixo I managed all my playlists and Tracks on Media Monkey (I have a Gold License) and then exported them to Traktor (which still is my main DJ Tool via Drag & Drop). The reason I still use MM is the excellent sync to my smartphone, where I can listen to my playlists and with them exported tracks as maintained in MM). I experimented with mixo and sync but I didn't get it to play my tracks without stuttering when i am on the road (don't ask me, german communication-infrastructure sucks!)

So at the moment I am maintainiung 2 diffrent workflows to keep Traktor - MediaMonkey and Mixo synchronous, although I use Mixo as my main tool to sync Traktor. Also MM sucks at playlist import, as it imports m3us into one folder and doesn't care for folder structure. Phew, I hope, I made it clear without confusing anyone.

I highly recommend giving MIXO sync another go. You can selectively upload tracks and selectively sync playlists to mitigate mobile issues if you have a massive library.

Then once synced to your phone, download your playlists on wifi before heading out. It makes it so much better!

Now export would be nice also. I don't need export of smart playlists to be honest, only plain playlists for exchange with my smartphone.

Which means also smartlists in traktor to plain playlists in MM.
