There is on desktop but there are no plans to introduce this on mobile/iPad at the moment because it’s standard to use the hardware volume controls for audio.

gotcha ok, yeah i was trying it on the ipad but to lower the volume, make a quick song change and play it at the right volume right away takes longer using the buttons on the ipad vs just have a quick in app slider. thanks for the info!

Fair point. We may look at it again when we overhaul the mobile apps in the near future. :)

I've made a task here: https://www.mixo.dj/roadmap/volume-slider-on-ipad

I'll see what I can do on iPad. I think I might be able to work it into the next release :)

that would be amazing, thank you!!

You mentioned the ability to change tracks in your message originally. I was thinking of adding the volume slider to the player where it’s already possible to skip to next/prev tracks.

yes i was thinking the same , on the screen showing the playing track so we can lower the volume, hit next track, raise the volume and hit play or the hot cue

And for landscape, with a slightly improved top area. ETA next week or the week after, depending on how some other tasks go.

tried so far on my iPad mini and its there but defintinyl a little buggy

1. the resolution seems to hid the slider a lot when sideways
2. the slider does not fade the music, as u slide its 0 or 100 so it off and then just loud

I made a video to show and explain https://youtu.be/ododt5Ec2GI

Oh dear I’m sorry about that. I tested on a few virtual and physical devices and it was perfect! I’ll take a look and see what the problem is.

Ok the layout and volume level should be fixed in the next mobile release, which I'll push out ASAP!

Basically, a cloud-based dependency was not updated before going live, which is why the volume slider worked in development and not production. The layout issue was separate and just needed further tweaking for all the many iPad sizes out there!

definitely improved in 2.15 and I know this is low priority but im sure you are a perfectionist like I am, lol.
the volume slider seems to not do a 100-0 fade to fade a song, its almost like as I bring the slider down it goes 100-30 and then cuts out to 0 so not a smooth fade out and not a smooth fade in because it comes in hot st 30-40%

hey! hope you had a great weekend and start to the week. after using it this weekend the volume slider gets stuck, won't move when you drag ur finger but when u release it will then jump to where u left off and drop the volume.

uploaded a video so u can see - https://youtube.com/shorts/eb3E2AOIU0s

Ok, I'll see if I can force destroy any touch events that didn't finish, which I presume is what's happening there. Not sure if that's going to be possible though.

Other than that, is it working nicely now in terms of smooth volume transitions either way?

ok awesome!

yes much better, its like a weird curve as u lower and maybe cuts at like 10% but dont change anything or worry, it sounds great and is such an improvement !
