By any chance is there a way to export a playlist or folder from MIXO to an actual folder, said be on USB drive or desktop or anywhere else? Like taking a playlist and exporting it with all the MP3 files.

Hi Chris,

I guess you could turn on 'Export VDJ Legacy Playlists" at the bottom of Advanced Settings, then use the Export VDJ USB feature. This will move the files to the USB along with a database.xml which you can discard, but it will also transfer M3U playlists with the updated filePaths.

The only caveat is that the music is moved to VirtualDJ/Music on the USB.

Remko, when I do this... it only exports XML and playlist m3u files.. the music folder is always empty. What am I doing wrong?

On my Mac mini it works.. it exports mp3s... but on MacBook it doesn't. Same settings, same build, same everything.

I just ran a test (not using Legacy Mode) using Export -> VirtualDJ USB and my tracks were transferred successfully. See screenshot attached.

Also works in Legacy Mode - see attached. Please check your permissions.

I had a weird issue recently with Engine DJ where I could add tracks but it wouldn't let me drag them into playlists. It ended up being a permissions issue which I solved by going to System Settings/Privacy & Security/Full Disk Access then selected Engine DJ and clicked the minus icon at the bottom to remove it. I then went into Files & Folders and turned on the toggles for Desktop/Documents/Music etc and it started working!

So try removing MIXO from Full Disk Access and turning on individual folder toggles. You might need to restart your computer. If that doesn't work, try removing MIXO from Full Disk Access and restart. Then try again!
