Rekordb,ox USB Export

Hey there, love the export feature way faster than exporting from dj pro. I did a test export with one playlist in a playlist folder and it was fine, then tested another export with two more playlists in a different folder, the folder showed up but the playlists were in the existing folder and then tried again and the new playlists moved to the correct spot but left the other ones too in the incorrect folder. Plus no new tracks made it out of the export, they were on the usb tho. So I reformatted and re exported back to rekordbox usb the two playlist folders, one folder had 1 playlist and the other had two and all was good on dj pro now for both laptop and ipad.

I’ll be happy to try, but I’m about to go on vacation and I don’t really wanna mess with things yet when I get back if I have time and I can reach out to my friend that has that pioneer gear I’ll be happy to give it a try on your beta

I’ve got an interesting little update so I went home. I re-exported to two drives one from DJ Pro directly and one from record box directly and neither of them were red on my friends unit so I don’t know if there’s a problem with the ports on his unit because the record box one should’ve absolutely read.

If it's safe to do so, try deleting the PIONEER folder on the USB first, then export again.

I've installed the beta, and tried it out, noticed you added an eject button after the export is complete, not sure of you methodology tho but here's a pdf I produced after running some powershell scripting on drives comparing public and beta and rekordbox direct. Hope it helps and/or is useful

That’s very useful thanks! Did the export work more accurately this time? I rewrote the logic for exporting the playlist tree.

I hoping to test early in the week, I've got a drive from the beta, dj pro and one direct from rekordbox that hasn't touched anything else, so I'll find out

so all my usb's worked on the clubs xdj-az today, verified with both mixo exports too

Whoop! Great news. FYI - I spotted and fixed another small issue yesterday which will be in the next release. Basically when re-exporting to an existing library, if any tracks have long string in the comments field etc it would fail. So if you get that before the next release you just need to delete the PIONEER folder first.
