Smart Playlist Issue

brian started this chat 3 years ago

When creating a smart playlist for values between two points (e.g. year greater than 1949 and year less than 1960 in order to find all my 50s music) It fails to filter properly.

If I have just the less than, it will give me mostly correct tracks, but will also include those which are not tagged with a year. As soon as I add the other parameter, it then proceeds to include all tracks.

I've tried both Match All and Match Any, but both give the same results.

Hi there,

We'll have to look into that. In the meantime, what happens if you reverse the "greater than" sand "less than"?

I get the same result regardless of which one is first. If I just do one rule, I get the expected result. So with >1949 I end up with everything tagged with a year of 1950 or later. If I have <1960 I get everything with a year of 1959 and lower including anything untagged (presumably a 0 value). When I combine both in the Match All tab I just get every track returned instead of one filtered from the other... If that makes sense?

Yes that makes sense. Ok we'll look into this and try to get a fix in the next release.

Thanks!
