I'm trying to import my playlists from MIXO to rekordbox but when I refresh the "rekordbox xml" collection I get the error "The rekordbox xml file specified is unable to be read". I'm assuming this may have to do with "special characters" in the mp3 data being incompatible? I've noticed if I export only 1 or 2 tracks it works but when I try to export a playlist with a few hundred songs it always fails. Any ideas?

If it's too large to attach, just upload it to your cloud storage and send me the shared link, or something similar!

Just following up on this - please do send over the XML that you exported from MIXO which does not parse in Rekordbox, and I'll gladly see what the problem is and fix it for you.

Thanks Remko! That fixed it. You've changed TrackNumber="3NUL4" to TrackNumber="34" (or whatever number) and changed Comments="Track.. to Comments="<Track.. I'm guessing it was the former change that was required? The later (adding the <) seems inconsistent between tracks. I should be able to make those changes myself until the next update comes out. Thank again!

Oh apologies - after spotting several TrackNumbers with the hex code equivalent to "<" , I did a find and replace but of course that removed all the actual element starting characters so had to find and replace them back! There might be a few instances where the word track now has < before it.



The problem is TrackNumber should be numerical only. It's not actually possible to add non-numerical characters to TrackNumber in any app, so I presume they came from some dodgy ID3 tags?



I can't even force replicate this problem because nothing allows me to save non-numerical data to TrackNumber!



Do you have a track you can send me which has a bad TrackNumber tag? Ideally Tambacounda's Black Magic - Clap! Clap!.

Oh well, the next release will have some preventative and remedial fixes anyway.

Hi Adam, there's no context to your message, so I tested importing your XML into MIXO and also imported it into Rekordbox, both of which worked fine.
